Registering a Course with OFAAA
It is a HSA/OFAAA requirement that all Occupational First Aid training providers notify OFAAA via the course registration part of the OFAAA website in advance of any Occupational First Aid training courses they intend to deliver.
OFAAA must be notified no less than 5 working days in advance of any Occupational First Aid course being delivered, this includes 1-day refresher courses.
OFAAA requires this information for:
-
Quality assurance purposes.
-
Monitoring training providers.
-
Carry out the 5 yearly assessment of a training provider on site if necessary
Paying for a Course with OFAAA
Once results have been submitted to OFAAA for learners that require FETAC certification payment is required within 30 days.
Paying for a course online - OFAAA accepts Visa & Mastercard credit & debit cards. If you want to pay by Laser then you will need to call 1890-223223.
Paying for a course by cheque of direct bank transfer - Please ensure that you incude the course ID with all payment details.
For courses that include learners being put forward for FETAC certification that are unemployed please call 1890-223223 for advice on how to pay for these courses.
Submitting Results for Refresher Courses
The only results that need to be submitted for refresher courses are for those learners who are being put forward for FETAC certification. I.e. Learners who achieve a higher grade (on their original 3-day course they achieved a Pass and on the refresher course they achieved a Distinction).
If there are no learners on a refresher course that require a FETAC certificate then the only action required by Instrcutors is to register the course (see above)
Invalid Records with FETAC for Learners Awaiting Certification
Learners who have had invalid records with FETAC for over 12 months will be deleted.
If the required information to validate the learners record with FETAC is provided after it has been deleted, Occupational First Aid training providers will have re-submit the learners results on OFAAA and pay again.
